Stop motion is where thousands of pictures are taken and edited to make them move faster than they would normally in order to create an illusion of movement and motion within the object or characters used. This type of work has to be appreciated greatly as the skill and time it takes to make even 10 seconds is immense. Below is an example of stop motion:
