Shots you can expect to see in Pop music videos

In most narrative based Pop music videos you tend to get a long shot at the beginning to show where the scene is set but this isn't always, sometimes the director decides to give the long shot later on, maybe half way to enable a bit of confusion.

In most performance based Pop music videos you tend to get a lot of shots of the artist singing with their band in a garage of some sort, so you usually get close up shots of props located within the garage itself although this depends on the mood of the song entirely.

In most concept based Pop music videos you tend to get a lot of dancing and showing off what the artists can really do, like their hidden talents besides singing, so you tend to get a lot of close ups of make up, fashion, clothes, scenery and of course close ups of different parts of the artists body, if the artist is a male they tend to focus on the stomach, arm definition and pectoral definition whereas if its a female artist the camera will focus on her legs, breasts, and bottom.
