similarities and differences between music videos from the same genre

Music videos from the Pop genre tend to be more or less the same almost every time whether they are performance based or narrative based they always look more or less the same, it is very rare to find a Pop music video that doesn't have the female artist looking sexually appealing in various poses and dance moves or even the male artist doing the same, or a love story during the music video. Although some 'rare' music videos do exist of course when directors try something knew, but not enough I think. But they have to do what they feel the audience would like to see and we all know what that is, sexy artists showing off in sexually appealing dance moves, yoga positions and so on. My two examples are 'call my name' by 'Cheryl' and 'call me maybe' by 'Carly Rae Jepsen'. I have chosen these two as my examples for similarities and differences between music videos from the same genre because Cheryl's 'call my name' is very appealing to male viewers as she struts around in those baggy pants but still she remains to look incredibly sexy then in some scenes she's up against the wall in almost nothing from the waist down and Carly Rae Jepsen's 'call me maybe' because it is a different type of Pop music video, although it still falls within what you expect from a pop music video, but this one is different from Cheryl's because its a narrative of how Carly falls in love or has a mega crush on her neighbour but while this is different in scene, there are still one or two shots of Carly posing and trying to look appealing whilst in the video.
