Differences between music videos in different genres

As shown in the previous blog, the list of similarities between pop music videos are almost endless, with only very few differences. But music videos tend to very different between other genres, although most rap videos are the same as the sexually appealing pop music videos, they usually involve the rapper rapping away whilst in a bling filled house with 'honeys' and 'shawtys' everywhere, to make the videos very memorable to male viewers, therefore making the song stick in their heads or you get those rap music videos showing gangs and drugs etc.
This is '99 problems' by 'Jay-Z' which I have chosen as an example of rap music videos because it is a typical rap music video and also has both shots of sexually appealing women dancing around but it also has shots of gang work and the artist and others looking dangerous.

Most Rock genre music videos are very different, usually they feature the band performing at a gig/ concert or in their garage or some kind of heavy, hardcore scene and some heavy metal bands make rather disturbing videos involving blood, suicide, the devil and supernatural horrors for example once I saw a heavy metal music video which has scarred me for life, it was about a boy that was getting bullied, so he did some witchcraft and contacted the devil turning him evil in some way and then he killed all of the boys and ate them, I cannot for the life of me remember what song it was, but reading this if you know then I'd advise you not to re-watch that video, although i'm hoping now that it has been banned from public eyes.

I have chosen 'smells like teen spirit' by Nirvana as my example for Rock music videos because it is the perfect example, it may not be showing the band in a live gig or garage but they are performing in some sort of small gathering concert, nevertheless the atmosphere can be felt, with almost every person within that ground head banging to the music.
